Our Commitment to Participant Privacy and Safety

At Riders On Board/The Compound YYC, we prioritize the safety, privacy and comfort of every skater in our programs. We understand that participants have valid concerns regarding photos and videos, and we are committed to complete transparency regarding how media is captured and used.

1. Purpose of Media Capture Coaches and staff occasionally take photographs or video recordings during sessions for two primary reasons:

• Internal Coaching: Videos are frequently used as an instructional tool to help participants review their technique, correct form, and track their athletic progression.

• Promotional & Social Media Use: Selected photos and videos may be shared on our official website, local advertising materials, and social media channels (such as Instagram or Facebook) to highlight program activities and celebrate participant achievements.

2. Safety and Consent Standards

• We never share personal identifying information (such as full names or location details) alongside media of minors on public channels.

• All media assets are handled with care and stored securely.

• Any public posting is done selectively, focusing on positive, action-oriented moments.

3. Participant Opt-Out and Preferences We respect the individual preferences of every participant. During registration, participants are given the opportunity to indicate their media preferences:

• Full Consent: Allowing media use for both coaching review and public promotion.

• Coaching Only: Permitting photos/videos strictly for internal coaching review, while opting out of all public social media and marketing.

• Complete Opt-Out: Declining all photo and video capture of their child under any circumstances.

Each registration form includes the option to opt out of photography and video use for coaching, promotional and social media purposes.
